Caterina is a resident of Chamberfield and the widowed mother of Maribelle. She retains a noticeable accent from her home county. She and her husband had several litters of kittens and eventually settled in Chamberfield. Maribelle and her son, Carlos, live with Caterina, but Caterina’s son-in-law Nolan only visits occasionally. Caterina lost her husband when Maribelle and her littermates were very young and the family struggled with money as a result. However, Caterina soon became friends with Gloriana Brown and her family.
